Located in the heart of Main Beach, Thyme Cafe Bar is a delightful haven for food lovers seeking a vibrant atmosphere paired with exceptional cuisine. This charming cafe stands out not only for its inviting ambiance but also for its diverse menu that caters to all tastes, ensuring there's something for everyone at any time of the day.

As you step inside, you'll be embraced by an atmosphere that effortlessly blends casual comfort with a touch of elegance. The cafe's decor, combined with attentive and friendly staff, sets the perfect stage for a leisurely breakfast, a quick lunch, or a satisfying afternoon snack. One customer, Cassandra Marshall, beautifully expresses what sets Thyme Cafe apart, noting how its warm ambiance and welcoming staff create a sense of coming home. Indeed, many customers find themselves returning time and again, forming a ritual to indulge in their favorite dishes.

The menu is a mouthwatering collection of contemporary cafe fare, where fresh ingredients and inventive recipes shine. Start your day with the much-talked-about Sautéed Field Mushrooms or the Big Brekkie, each dish presenting a symphony of flavors that delight the palate. If you're feeling adventurous, the Salt & Thyme Calamari (A$19.00) or the Thai Beef Salad (A$20.00) showcase the chef's knack for transforming simple dishes into extraordinary culinary experiences. The cafe even has options for plant-based diners, like the flavorful Vegetable Lasagne (A$18.00) and the popular Avocado on toast, paired perfectly with a side of halloumi.

Thyme Cafe Bar also takes pride in its customer service, as highlighted by Dean Brent’s encounter with the friendly waiter Brooke, who recommended the Thyme Burger—a dish that has since become a fan favorite. With generous portions and reasonably priced meals, dining here is an experience where quality meets value.

Whether you're savoring a cup of expertly brewed espresso or digging into their renowned Beer Battered Fries (A$8.00), every visit promises delightful discoveries. Customers appreciate the quick service, and while there’s advice to improve airflow on those hot, muggy days, Rick Byrne's enthusiastic review underscores the cafe’s overall charm, urging patrons to return time and again for the good vibes and delicious food.

In summary, Thyme Cafe Bar is not just a place to eat; it's a gathering spot for those who appreciate good food, community, and a dash of charm. If you're around the Main Beach area, do yourself a favor and stop by. You'll find yourself wanting to make Thyme your new favorite spot!

Ah, where do I even begin to express my adoration for this place? Thyme Cafe has captured my heart in more ways than one – from its inviting atmosphere to its warm and welcoming staff, and of course, the mouthwatering food that keeps me coming back for more. My partner and I have made it a ritual to visit twice a week for breakfast, and each time we arrive, we're greeted like old friends returning home. First, let's talk about the atmosphere. There's a certain charm about Thyme Cafe that instantly puts you at ease. The cozy interior, adorned with rustic decor and soft lighting, creates the perfect backdrop for a leisurely morning meal. It's the kind of place where you can linger over your coffee, get lost in conversation, or simply soak up the tranquil ambiance. And then there are the people – the heart and soul of this beloved cafe. The staff here are more than just servers; they're genuine, friendly faces who go above and beyond to make every visit memorable. From the moment we walk in, we're greeted with warm smiles and cheerful greetings, as if we're part of the family. And let's not forget about the visiting puppy dogs of the day! It's a delightful surprise to see furry companions lounging around, adding an extra layer of joy to our breakfast outings. But perhaps the crowning glory of Thyme Café is the food. Oh, the food! It's nothing short of a culinary masterpiece, with each dish crafted to perfection using the freshest, highest quality ingredients. Whether we're craving fluffy pancakes drizzled with syrup, hearty omelettes bursting with savoury fillings, crispy bacon piled high on buttery toast with eggs, or my husband's favourite the delicious, overflowing granola jar, Thyme Café never fails to deliver. And paired with a steaming cup of freshly brewed coffee, it's a breakfast experience that leaves us feeling nourished and content. In essence, Thyme Café isn't just a place to eat; it's a sanctuary, a haven where good food, good company, and good vibes come together in perfect harmony. It's a place where memories are made and moments are cherished, and for that, we'll keep coming back time and Thyme again.

Fantastic breakfast. The Sautéed field mushys were a stand-out dish for me, and I am hard to please. If you like mushrooms, give it a go. The expresso coffee was good, just slightly acidic. The sausages were great too. Friendly staff and very quick to keep the table clear of dirty dishes. Highly recommend.

Had a Saturday breakfast here. Great little Cafe, good vibes, happy staff, fast service even when busy, broad menu, fresh juice. Food portions were very generous and tasty for the price. My only complaint is that on a hot muggy morning some airflow would be nice (big roof fans?) Would defs go back if around the Mainbeach area

Despite the Main Beach location, this cute cafe is very fairly priced. Love that both their breakfast *and* lunch menus are all day. We went with the smashed avo on toast (with feta) plus a side of halloumi and the big brekkie. Took a little bit to come out considering the place was very quiet but the staff were friendly and attentive and the atmosphere is nice so we weren't too bothered. Overall, the food was delicious. Only criticism would be that the poached eggs were a bit under cooked and we both found it challenging to eat from their choice of crockery (not easy to cut through chunky toast in a bowl!) Definitely worth a visit if you're passing by. Taste: ⭐⭐⭐⭐/5 Value for money: /5 Customer service: /5 Atmosphere: /5 Will visit again:

Friendly service. Cute venue. Great menu! Great job on the chicken Caesar salad and the club sandwich was outrageously large. Great lunch. Will be back
